FAQ

1. When I first come in it shows one or more games but after a few seconds is says "No games available, why not start one?".

   This is caused by a cached game/web page. It is recommended when first checking for games to wait until the screen refreshes once for it to auto refresh or you can hit refresh in your browser.  

2. After starting a game (before it has been initiated), one of the squares on my Bingo card is highlighted.

   Consider yourself lucky! The game automatically highlights the winning numbers and prior to starting the game is smart enough to know what the first ball is going to be so it highlights and gives you a preview of coming attractions!

3. I start a game but no one ever joins!

   The game can be played in single player mode if you like. One of the purposes of the games is to get and attract more people online, so make sure to invite some friends; turn them on to this great game and our great Community!

4. I click the I-WON button but it acts like nothing happens for several seconds.

   Depending on where you are at in the refresh cycle, it could take up to 60 seconds to respond (note you can manually refresh using your browser's refresh option). On rare occasion if the screen is refreshing exactly at the same time as when you click it then it might not register the click (this is rare).

5. I am playing the game and a get a white screen with an error message and a set of numbers displayed.

   This is a rare event and is usually multiple people accessing the exact same files at the exact same time. If this happens please take the time to copy and paste all the text and numbers displayed (normally less than 2 lines) and email it to admin@pcpursuits.com. After that hit the back button in your browser and if the game is running and/or if you are the host, play will resume!

6. I am playing a game and the Call area is not completely full, the screen is still refreshing, and no news balls are showing up!

   This is rare but usually it means that the host has experienced a problem (anything from a browser crash to a power outage). Give it a few minutes and see if the host returns. FYI, the host is the first name displayed on the list of names and the host's name is part of the game's name. Also, try chatting with the host via the chat site.

7. During a game I do something that causes my browser to crash or to load another web page!

   Browser crashes are unpredictable but there is no association between this program and browser crashes. If during the game you avoid multi-tasking then this is very unlikely to occur . The good news is that if you return to the game menu and select the option to "look for games", you will see a "Re-Join" option next to the game (you may have to wait until the status screen refreshes or you can manually refresh your browser software to see this option).

8. At the end of the game I see that ALL numbers have been called and I even have a winning card but the game shows as "running"?

   The program waits 3 minutes at the end of the game to allow someone to click I-WIN. After 3 minutes everyone that is still on gets kicked out to the Bingo4U Menu (which leads to the next one). If no one clicked the I-WON button then you do not get marked for a win or a loss.

9. I was in the middle of a game and got distracted (e.g., launched another unrelated program, stepped away from the computer, etc.) and upon return to the game I saw I was now on the Bingo4U Menu?

   This means the game ended. The program waits 3 minutes at the end of the game to allow someone to click I-WIN. After 3 minutes everyone that is still on gets kicked out to the Bingo4U Menu. If someone clicked I-WON during the time you were away then your games lost counter was incremented. If no one clicked the I-WON button then you do not get marked for a win or a loss.

General Guidelines: The screen AUTO refreshes EVERY 1 to 60 seconds (system operator configurable) which causes a flicker in the screen. WAIT until the screen refreshes (or manually refresh using the refresh option within your browser) when FIRST entering the screen.  It is best to use the internal game chat or have a chat session open to coordinate when to initiate. Only the host can initiate the game. If you leave the game prematurely you can re-join either a "waiting for players" or "running" game.
